Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented MEPC Head to spearhead our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects and comprehensive facility management services within the solar energy sector.
- The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in overseeing large-scale solar energy projects, demonstrating a proven track record in the successful management of project lifecycles from conception to completion.
- This pivotal role encompasses the strategic oversight of stores, warehouses, and substantial manpower, with a critical focus on ensuring the timely, high-quality delivery of projects and services to our esteemed clients.
Key Responsibilities:
The MEPC Head will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
EPC Project Management Excellence:
- Lead and strategically oversee the end-to-end execution of all EPC projects, from planning and design to commissioning.
- Ensure strict adherence to project timelines, allocated budgets, and the highest quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks, implementing effective corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Facility Management:
- Manage and optimize the operation and maintenance of passive infrastructure associated with solar energy projects.
- Oversee comprehensive facility management services, ensuring optimal performance, longevity, and efficiency of assets.
- Implement best practices for preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize energy generation.
Material & Logistics Management:
- Supervise and streamline the efficient movement of all materials and equipment across interstate locations.
- Ensure timely delivery of components and machinery, adhering to project schedules and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee inventory management for stores and warehouses, optimizing stock levels and minimizing waste.
Strategic Customer Engagement:
- Cultivate and maintain strong, regular interactions with clients, ensuring their utmost satisfaction with project delivery and services.
- Proactively identify opportunities for business development and expansion of services based on client needs and feedback.
Budgeting & Cost Management:
- Finalize the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the EPC and O&M divisions, aligning with organizational goals.
- Diligently monitor and control operational expenses, implementing robust cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements wherever possible.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to ensure project profitability and optimize resource allocation.
Project Billing & Performance KPIs:
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and billing for all projects and services rendered.
-Monitor and drive adherence to project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), project plans, and First-Time Right (FTR) metrics.
- Implement systems for tracking and reporting on project performance against established benchmarks.
Dynamic Team Leadership & Development:
- Foster a highly collaborative, productive, and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and innovation.
- Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and project staff.

Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Compliance:
- Champion and ensure strict adherence to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines, policies, and regulations.
- Promote a robust safety culture, implementing proactive measures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Data Management & MIS Implementation:
- Design, develop, and implement robust Management Information Systems (MIS) to facilitate seamless data flow and reporting.
- Create and standardize presentation formats for effective monitoring, analysis, and communication of project performance and operational insights.
Estate & Labor Relations Management:
- Proactively address and resolve estate-related issues pertinent to project sites and operations.
- Liaise effectively with local administration, government bodies, and labor unions to resolve conflicts and ensure smooth project execution and facility operations.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Prepare and rigorously review monthly and quarterly performance dashboards, providing comprehensive insights into project progress, financial health, and operational efficiency.
- Identify critical areas for improvement and implement strategic initiatives to enhance overall performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Renewable Energy preferred).
- A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
- 18-20 years of progressive experience in EPC project management and operations within the solar energy industry, with a significant portion in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale solar power plant projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large teams, including technical staff, contractors, and field personnel.
-In-depth knowledge of solar energy technologies, industry best practices, and relevant regulations.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and MIS tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to travel extensively to project sites as required
