About the Role:
- We are looking for an accomplished and results-driven Head - Institutional Sales (West & Central) to spearhead our regional B2B sales operations.
- This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic business development, managing key institutional relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team across the West & Central India region.
- The ideal candidate will bring deep domain knowledge of the building materials industry, with strong experience in project-based selling, institutional partnerships, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Lead and develop the institutional sales strategy across West & Central India, driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.
Business Development:
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within corporate, institutional, and project sales channels.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key industry influencers, including architects, interior designers, faade consultants, contractors, and developers.
Key Account Management:
- Oversee and strengthen relationships with key clients across hospitality, healthcare, corporate, and public sector institutions, ensuring long-term engagement and repeat business.
Sales Target Achievement:
- Drive the team to achieve and exceed aggressive sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a regional sales team.
- Foster a high-performance culture, set KPIs, and ensure continuous skill development and alignment with organizational goals.
Customer Experience Excellence:
- Ensure delivery of superior customer service and resolve client issues efficiently to maintain strong brand reputation.
Reporting & Insights:
- Track sales performance, analyze regional trends, and present strategic insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with marketing, operations, and product teams to align sales efforts and support overall business strategy.
Candidate Profile:
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline; MBA preferred.
Industry Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in B2B sales within the building materials industry, with proven exposure to institutional, project, and corporate sales.
Core Competencies:
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
- Proven success in managing complex client accounts and high-value negotiations.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and data-driven sales reporting.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively across the West & Central region.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented with a hands-on approach.
