Experience Required: 20-25 years in Institutional Equities Business, with a minimum of 10 years heading or managing an Institutional Equities business.
Job Overview:
The Head of Institutional Equities Dealing (Sell Side) will lead and manage all aspects of institutional sales trading. This role demands strong leadership, strategic acumen, and a comprehensive understanding of financial markets and products.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of institutional equities sales professionals, sales traders, and support staff.
- Foster a high-performance culture and provide mentorship to team members.
Sales Strategy Development and Execution:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to expand market share and revenue within the institutional equities market.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients.
Institutional Equity Trading Oversight:
- Oversee the execution of equity trades for institutional clients, ensuring adherence to best execution practices, regulatory compliance, and efficient trade settlement.
- Manage a team of dealers on the trading floor.
- Ensure accurate and efficient deal execution.
Market Analysis and Strategic Decision-Making:
- Monitor market trends, economic developments, and the competitive landscape to inform trading strategies and client interactions.
- Ensure accurate and efficient handling of client orders.
Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain high standards in addressing client queries and ensuring prompt and responsive service.
- Ensure promptness and responsiveness to client needs and requirements.
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory norms (exchanges) and compliance guidelines.
- Reduce risk by maintaining strong control on the compliance guidelines and follow daily instructions of risk management team.
- Maintain effective working relationships with team members, functional areas, and internal stakeholders.
