Head of Innovation Global Capability Center (GCC)
Reporting To: Global Head Transformation & Technology Strategy
Role Summary:
We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused leader to head Innovation for our Global Capability Center supporting the Asset Management division.
The role is accountable for designing and executing the innovation roadmap across the GCC with a dual focus:
- Driving core transformation across Data Management, Operations, and Business Architecture
- Leading innovation initiatives across the Technology Group, with a focus on intelligent automation, digital capabilities, and AI enablement in the asset management lifecycle.
- The successful candidate will serve as a change catalyst, embedding future-ready, scalable operating models and fostering a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- This role partners with global stakeholders in Asset Management, IT, Risk, Compliance, and Strategic Change functions to drive value realization and sustainable transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Innovation Leadership:
- Drive next-generation capabilities across the Technology Group spanning AI/ML, data science, low-code platforms, and cognitive automation.
- Partner with Group Innovation teams, FinTechs, and vendor ecosystems to scout, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI, cloud-native data platforms).
Transformation of Core Operations:
- Lead the design of Global Target Operating Models (GToMs), integrating business architecture, technology enablement, and change execution for scalability.
- Oversee intelligent automation initiatives for core middle- and back-office functions (IBOR, pricing, reconciliations, settlements, KYC, regulatory reporting).
Business Architecture & Change Delivery:
- Institutionalize innovation governance, working closely with Technology and Operations leaders to prioritize digital enablers in platform strategy.
- Drive agile portfolio delivery in alignment with Business Transformation Frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g., SFDR, ESG disclosures).
Data-Driven Operating Model Modernization:
- Align data transformation efforts with Investment Book of Record (IBOR) evolution and support compliance, audit, and reporting needs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Global Team Leadership:
- Engage with global heads across Operations, Finance, Risk, Technology, and Client Services to drive sponsorship, change readiness, and adoption.
- Build and mentor a high-performing global team of innovation champions, change leads, data SMEs, and automation architects across GCCs.
- Promote a culture of experimentation, rapid prototyping, and knowledge sharing across multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- 20+ years of global experience in business transformation, innovation, and digital operations within BFSI, preferably with deep exposure to Asset Management.
- Proven success in leading change execution and transformation programs across technology and operations functions.
- Deep understanding of the Asset Management lifecycle including data management, middle/back-office processes, regulatory reporting, and client servicing.
- Experience in embedding technologies like AI/ML, GenAI, RPA, low-code/no-code, and cloud-based data platforms into operating models.
- Skilled in shaping Business & Enterprise Architecture, target operating model design, and agile change frameworks (e.g., SAFe, BTF).
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into operational innovation and cost/value impact.
- Adept at working across cross-cultural, matrixed global environments, preferably in a Global Capability Center or Shared Services context.
