BFSI product organization HQ in Chennai and present in 30+ countries.

Seeking a highly experienced Head of IT to lead and manage the organization's IT strategy, infrastructure, and operations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Cloud Operations, IT Infrastructure, IT Security, IT Procurement, and Enterprise IT Governance.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive digital transformation, optimize IT operations, and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Key Accountabilities:

IT Strategy & Leadership:

- Develop and execute the overall IT strategy in alignment with business objectives.

- Lead digital transformation initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of emerging technologies.

- Drive IT governance, risk, and compliance frameworks to ensure robust security and regulatory adherence.

Cloud Operations & Infrastructure Management:

- Oversee the management and optimization of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid setups) to ensure scalability, security, and cost efficiency.

- Implement best practices for cloud security, cost management, and performance monitoring.

- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning for cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

IT Operations & Service Management:

- Manage end-to-end IT operations, ensuring high system uptime and performance.

- Lead IT Service Management (ITSM) practices, including incident, problem, and change management.

- Drive automation and AI-powered IT operations (AIOps) to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

IT Procurement & Vendor Management:

- Oversee IT procurement, ensuring cost-effective acquisition of hardware, software, and cloud services.

- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with technology vendors, partners, and service providers.

- Implement IT asset management (ITAM) frameworks for optimal utilization of IT resources.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management:

- Ensure IT security policies, controls, and compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2, and other industry standards.

- Oversee identity and access management (IAM) strategies and ensure data protection best practices.

- Mitigate IT risks through proactive monitoring, threat intelligence, and incident response planning.

Enterprise Business Systems & IT Governance:

- Oversee enterprise IT applications, including ERP, CRM, HCM, and collaboration tools.

- Ensure seamless integration of IT systems to enhance operational efficiency.

- Establish and monitor IT governance frameworks to align IT with business goals.

Key Requirements and Qualifications:

- 24+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, managing IT infrastructure, cloud operations, security, and procurement.

- Proven expertise in managing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud cost optimization.

- Strong experience in IT procurement, vendor negotiations, and IT asset lifecycle management.

- Knowledge of enterprise IT systems (ERP, CRM, HCM), ITSM frameworks (ITIL), and IT security best practices.

- Experience in leading IT teams, managing large-scale IT budgets, and driving digital transformation.

- Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC,GDPR, etc.

- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, ITIL, CISSP, PMP, or CISM are a plus.
