Position: IT Head

Location: Kinshasa, DR Congo

Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Experience: 10-15 Years

Education: B. Tech in Computer Science Engineering (master's preferred)

Role Overview:

The IT Head will lead and manage the entire IT function across the organization, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, digital transformation, and strategic IT planning. This role is critical to ensuring robust, secure, and scalable IT systems that support the company's construction projects and corporate operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership experience, and a strategic mindset to align IT initiatives with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Planning

- Develop and execute the company's IT strategy in alignment with business objectives.

- Lead digital transformation initiatives, including automation and cloud adoption.

- Oversee IT budgeting, cost optimization, and vendor negotiations.

IT Infrastructure & Security

- Manage enterprise-wide IT infrastructure including servers, networks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and data centers.

- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of systems across office and project sites.

- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, disaster recovery plans, and data protection protocols.

Team Management & Operations

- Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

- Oversee IT support operations, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and network issues.

- Establish and monitor KPIs for IT service delivery and performance.

Project & Technology Management

- Drive implementation of ERP systems, project management tools, and collaboration platforms.

- Manage IT projects including infrastructure upgrades, cloud migration, and system integrations.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption were beneficial.

Qualifications & Skills:

- B. Tech in Computer Science Engineering (master's degree is a plus).

- 10-15 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles.

- Proven expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.

- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and networking.

- Experience with ERP systems and construction industry tools is highly desirable.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Fluency in English; knowledge of Hindi or French is an advantage.

Work Environment:

- Based in Kinshasa, with occasional travel to project sites across the DRC.
