Years of Experience: 12-15+ years in inbound contracting, product development, and supplier negotiations in the Indian travel industry (especially for Hotels Must Have).

Compensation Band on Offer: 28.50 LPA to 36 LPA (inclusive of UPTO 20% of performance-based commissions) based on relevant experience, interview performance & last drawn compensation.
Position Overview
We are hiring a Head Inbound Contracting & Product to join our clients company.
This is a high-impact role responsible for driving the sourcing strategy, product innovation, and supplier relations for inbound travel into India.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a robust network of hotels, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), and tourism partners throughout the Indian subcontinent.
Inbound contracting requires deep expertise in the Indian market to build travel solutions for international guests.
This role will directly shape and enhance the experience of foreign travellers exploring Indias heritage, wellness, culture, and nature through oour Client company's services.
Role & Responsibilities
Contracting & Supplier Relations (Hotels specially)
- Build and lead contracting strategies with hotels, resorts, transport companies, and Destination Management Companies (DMCs) across India.
- Negotiate rates, availability, and value additions to maintain a competitive edge.
- Establish long-term supplier relationships and ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor market pricing trends and anticipate seasonal demand shifts for better profitability.
Product Development & Innovation
- Design high-impact itineraries and experiential journeys tailored for inbound travellersranging from FITs and small groups to corporate incentives.
- Develop theme-based offerings (heritage, spiritual, wildlife, wellness, culinary, etc.
- Collaborate with tourism boards, cultural institutions, and local storytellers to enrich product offerings.
- Research emerging travel trends and implement innovation-first travel packages.
B2B & Corporate Travel Packages
- Lead B2B contracting with international travel agencies and foreign tour operators.
- Develop exclusive leisure and incentive travel programs for corporates and luxury clients.
- Build co-branded experiences with overseas partners to increase inbound traffic.
Incentives & Special Events
- Manage end-to-end contracting and logistics for inbound incentive travel programs and high-end special events.
- Partner with top-tier hospitality and event venues to deliver a seamless experience.
Commercial & Financial Oversight
- Optimize pricing structures for better margins while ensuring competitive offerings.
- Work with finance to implement supplier-friendly but fiscally efficient payment structures.
- Oversee credit policies, cost management, and ROI tracking.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead a team of contracting and product specialists, building a strong performance culture.
- Coordinate closely with sales, operations, and marketing to ensure aligned delivery.
- Represent the company at national and international travel fairs and networking events.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, or Business.
- 12-15+ years of experience in inbound travel contracting and destination product management.
- Proven network across Indian hotels, DMCs, and niche experience providers.
- Expertise in building FIT, group, and incentive travel packages.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset to drive pricing strategies, forecasting, and R&D.
- Willingness to travel across India and abroad for trade fairs and supplier meets.
- Prior experience with European and US inbound markets is preferred.
