Position: Head of HR

Location: Bangalore

Reports To: Founder / CEO

Experience: 8+ years in HR (preferably in startups or high-growth companies)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic Head of HR to drive our people strategy and build a high-performance culture in our fast-growing startup. This role requires balancing strategic HR leadership with hands-on execution. You will oversee talent, performance, culture, and compliance, ensuring the company scales efficiently while keeping employees engaged and motivated.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding:

- Build and implement scalable hiring strategies for critical roles.

- Collaborate with founders and hiring managers to forecast workforce needs.

- Strengthen employer branding to attract and retain top talent.

2. Performance Management & People Development:

- Design and roll out a robust performance management framework (OKRs/KPIs, quarterly reviews, continuous feedback).

- Partner with leadership to set clear performance expectations and align individual goals with business objectives.

- Introduce reward and recognition programs that reinforce high performance.

- Identify skill gaps and design training & career development pathways.

3. HR Strategy & Policies:

- Establish HR policies, systems, and processes tailored to startup needs.

- Ensure fair and competitive compensation & benefits structures.

- Maintain compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements.

4. Culture & Engagement:

- Champion a culture of collaboration, ownership, and innovation.

- Design initiatives to enhance employee experience and engagement.

- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.

5. People Operations & Analytics:

- Oversee HR operations: payroll, HRIS, compliance, employee relations.

- Track and report key HR metrics (attrition, retention, performance outcomes, engagement).

- Use data to inform workforce planning and strategic HR decisions.

Qualifications & Skills:

- 8+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 3+ years in leadership roles.

- Proven track record of implementing performance management systems.

- Strong expertise in HR operations, labor laws, and compliance.

- Ability to build HR processes from scratch in fast-changing environments.

- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

- Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and results-driven mindset.
