Head - Human Resources


Responsibilities:


- Develop and implement comprehensive HR and Industrial Relations strategies aligned with the manufacturing plants business goals.

- Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning for a large employee base (~2000).

- Manage all aspects of Industrial Relations, including local compliance, dispute resolution, collective bargaining, and maintaining positive employee-management relationships.

- Handle employee relations issues effectively to maintain workplace harmony and minimize conflicts.

- Oversee performance management, training, and development initiatives tailored for a large manufacturing workforce.

- Ensure strict compliance with labour laws, safety regulations, and company policies across all employee groups.

- Design competitive compensation and benefits structures aligned with industry standards and workforce needs.

- Lead employee engagement programs and initiatives to foster motivation, productivity, and job satisfaction.



- Provide HR data analytics and reporting to plant leadership to support informed decision-making.

- Lead and mentor the HR team to efficiently manage payroll, attendance, statutory compliance, and HR documentation for a large workforce.

- Collaborate closely with plant operations to anticipate workforce needs and succession planning.


Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business Administration, or related field (Masters preferred).

- 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial environment managing 1000+ employees.

- Strong expertise and hands-on experience in Industrial Relations, including managing unionized workforces and handling collective bargaining agreements.

- Proven ability to manage and motivate a large workforce (~2000 employees).

- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, safety regulations (OSHA or local equivalents), and manufacturing HR practices.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

- Strong leadership capabilities with experience in leading multi-functional HR teams.

- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office.
