Head HR for a reputed Shared Service based Manufacturing MNC


Job Description:

Role Overview:


The HR Head will be responsible for driving the HR strategy, policies, and processes across the business unit, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The role will cover key HR functions, including manpower planning, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, learning &development, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Manpower Planning & Budgeting:

- Lead manpower budgeting based on past trends and future business needs.

- Work with function heads to determine additional workforce requirements.

- Validate open vacancies, discuss justifications, and consolidate BU-wide manpower requirements.

- Manage mobilization/demobilization of workforce based on project needs.

- Prepare the HR budget draft, review with BU heads, and align with CEO/CHRO.

- Coordinate approvals with MD, GMD, and Chairman for finalizing the manpower budget.

- Ensure hiring approvals are communicated to the Talent Acquisition (TA) team for execution.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

- Oversee end-to-end Technology hiring for critical mandates and below in coordination with GCC.

Performance Management & Appraisal:

- Ensure goal-setting completion on time

- Monitor mid-term and annual reviews to track performance progress.

- Manage calibration of ratings and promotions, including CHRO and MD-level approvals.

- Drive salary increments, variable pay, and compensation planning in alignment with business goals.

- Ensure increment letters generation post-final approval.

Audit & Compliance:

- Ensure timely updates on the We-Comply portal with relevant inputs.

- Provide audit-related data and respond to compliance requirements.

- Address non-compliance (NC) issues, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive closure.

- Align HR processes with legal and statutory requirements.

Learning & Development (L&D) & Talent Management:

- Define competency matrices & proficiency levels for all roles.

- Identify Critical Talent (CT) and Differentiated Talent (DT) for career progression.

- Work with CoE teams to conduct assessments and development planning.

- Drive succession planning for critical roles and ensure Individual Development Plans (IDP) are in place.

- Oversee training need analysis (TNA) and ensure training programs are executed as per business needs.

- Support group interventions such as inductions, town halls, and culture-building initiatives.

MIS & Reporting:

- Collate and report HR metrics, including BRC, ESG, and board meeting reports.

- Provide insights for business-specific HR reporting and ad-hoc analytics.

- Ensure timely release of monthly training calendars.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong HR Strategy & Business Partnering capabilities.

- Expertise in manpower planning, talent acquisition, and budgeting.

- Hands-on experience in performance management systems & compensation planning.

- Deep understanding of audit, compliance, and HR processes.

- Proven ability to manage large-scale hiring, onboarding, and employee engagement programs.

- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent.

- 15+ years of experience in HR, preferably in Technologgy/Consulting / GCCs.

- Experience in managing Global Stakeholders
