Overview:

The Head of HR Strategy and Planning will lead the development and execution of strategic HR initiatives that align with the organization's goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in HR policies, talent management, and external relations, ensuring the company remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent while complying with relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Policy Development and Revision:

- Lead the creation, implementation, and ongoing review of HR policies to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational objectives.

- Stay updated on labor laws and best practices to propose policy adjustments.

2. Training and Development:

- Develop and oversee comprehensive training programs that enhance employee skills and drive organizational performance.

- Implement leadership and career development initiatives for key talent to ensure succession planning.

- Implementation of initiatives towards LMS, LXP, capability building, etc

3. Performance Management:

- Design and implement a robust performance management framework, including goal setting, confirmation reviews, and appraisal processes (half-yearly and annually).

- Implement effective Performance Improvement Plan to address performance issues and develop overall performance

- Collaborate with department heads to ensure performance metrics align with strategic objectives.

4. Compensation and Benefits:

- Participate in compensation surveys and analyze market data to develop a competitive compensation framework.

- Create and maintain pay bands and conduct benchmarking of best HR practices.

- Propose compensation and benefits initiatives to management for implementation.

5. External Affairs and Liaison:

- Act as the primary liaison with external entities, including local, government bodies, law enforcement, and elected representatives.

- Build and maintain relationships to facilitate compliance and enhance organizational reputation.

6. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):

- Successfully plan and execute CSR projects in line with company policy and relevant legislation.

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in development and execution of CSR projects - Measure and report on the impact of CSR initiatives to stakeholders.

7. Establishment of New Branches:

- Oversee the establishment of new branches, setting up office, warehouse and organisation design.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational strategies during expansion.

8. Manpower Budgeting and Planning:

- Develop and manage the manpower budget to ensure optimal staffing levels across the organization.

- Analyze workforce trends to anticipate future hiring needs and implement strategies accordingly.

- Develop internal talent pipeline to fulfil manpower needs of the future

Qualifications:

- MSW/MBA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).

- Proven experience in strategic HR management, preferably in a leadership role.

- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.

- Proficiency in HR analytics and performance management systems.
