Head of Group Consolidation and Reporting
Job Description:
The purpose of the Head of Group Consolidation & Reporting role is to ensure the accurate consolidation and reporting of financial data (of subsidiaries spread across the globe), foster transparency, trust and credibility in the financial reporting process.
- Key responsibilities of the role include analyzing performance of each legal entity, reviewing their financial position, driving corrective actions, and leading enhancement in overall reporting quality and uniformity.
- Leading a Center of Excellence for IFRS standards, guiding entities in complex accounting issues and statutory audits.
- Building strong relationships with auditors and finance teams promotes transparency.
- Overall, the role facilitates informed decision-making, fosters financial stability, and ensures compliance within the group
- Spearhead group's financial consolidation and reporting function
- Review the financial performance of group entities by conducting comprehensive financial analysis, variance analysis, trend analysis, etc.
- Review the financial position of group entities, identify opportunities / risk and work closely with respective entities finance heads and group finance leadership team to drive corrective actions.
- Drive improvement in overall reporting quality, timeliness and uniform accounting across all YOHT entities through detailed review of entity level MIS, defining and monitoring effective implementation of monthly closing process / closing checklist / group accounting policies / SOPs.
- Spearhead the end-to-end consolidation process, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial data across subsidiaries.
- Monitor changes in the group accounting policies and instructions, assessing their impact on financial reporting, and implementing necessary adjustments in the reporting and disclosures.
- Lead the Centre of Excellence for IFRS accounting standards, group audits, etc and support entities in accounting advisory on complex accounting issues, resolution of complex group audit issues, etc.
- Cultivate strong relationships with Group auditors, Consolidation team, team deputed in India, Finance controllers of respective entities, etc to promote transparency, trust, and credibility on the consolidation and reporting process.
- Support US and Europe entity on the wide range of reporting requirements.
Educational Qualification:
- Chartered Accountant
