About the Role

To ensure books of accounts are closed and audited as per applicable Accounting Standards and audit schedule. Further to ensure external and internal reporting for certain matters and providing analytical support to India Controller in reviewing financials.

Key Responsibilities

1. Managing the Financial accounting of B2C segment of India

2. Managing monthly closing and ensuring accurate reporting of financial numbers to Management.

3. Managing the Quarterly Statuary Audits in terms of planning, execution and timely closure of financials. Proactive measures to avoid Audit Issues and improve controls. Plan off-cycle and on cycle audit with Statutory Auditors.

4. Preparation of BS disclosures on periodical basis and ensuring correct and accurate reporting

5. Strong knowledge of accounting standards and guidelines and practical experience of application of same on business scenarios

6. Close coordination with ACE and Consol team for timely closing and reporting of financials

7. Ensure correct segmental reporting and proper elimination of all group transactions

8. Proper review of monthly closing checklist and ensure proper review is done for all BS items periodically.

9. Ensuring correct internal reporting of BS KPI to management

10. Lead and supervise a team of nearly 10 Professionals. Motivate and coach them by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback

11. Work in Collaboration of business controllers, secretariat and ACE team to ensure timely compliance and books closure

12. End to end responsibility of closure of Financial Statement of BAL and Indian subsidiaries

13. Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations, CARO and legislations

14. Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies

15. Ensure Board deliverables related to quarterly publishing of Financial statements of the company

16. Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations

17. Ensure adherence to all accounting policies/ guidelines and making changes as per changes in Accounting standards, regulatory and other compliances.
