KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and leading Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives at large construction sites. They should be able to identify risks associated with various construction activities and implement proactive safety measures. Strong leadership, communication, and motivation skills are essential to drive safety initiatives across the organization.
- Responsible for ensuring that EHS standards are followed at all Data Center project & construction sites.
- Develop and implement EHS programs and policies, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Lead a team of safety officers across major project sites, conducting regular audits and inspections to uphold high EHS standards.
- Identify potential EHS risks and provide safety guidelines to project teams to achieve zero incidents and near misses.
- Conduct regular training and awareness programs on EHS across the organization.
- Develop strategies to enhance safety standards and implement innovative safety methods for project management teams.
- Maintain up-to-date safety documentation and ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations.
- Audit project sites periodically, report findings, and implement improvement measures as required.
- Conduct due diligence on contractors to assess their suitability for projects.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster a culture of safety.
- Lead and develop the EHS team, defining roles and ensuring effectiveness across all sites.
- Routinely communicate safety expectations, measurements, and performance across the organization.
- Travel to project sites as needed to implement corporate EHS initiatives and customer requirements.
DESIRED PROFILE EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
- Graduate (Preferably BE/BTech in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical) with an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 20+ years of experience in Safety Management for large construction projects/MEP works.
- IOSH or similar membership preferred (Risk Management certification is an advantage).
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Strong experience in client-facing and vendor management.
- Ability to work with both physical and virtual teams.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders while balancing diplomacy and assertiveness.
- Expertise in driving EHS frameworks across organizations.
- Strong customer-centric approach.
