The Head - Collections Strategy will be responsible for formulating and implementing a robust collections strategy for unsecured loan portfolios, including personal loans, credit cards, and SME lending. This role requires a strong understanding of risk management, data-driven decision-making, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in collections strategy, analytics, and portfolio management within the NBFC or banking sector.
Key Responsibilities :
1) Collections Strategy Development: Design and execute end-to-end collections strategies to optimize recoveries while maintaining customer experience and compliance.
2) Portfolio Performance Management: Monitor portfolio performance and implement early warning systems to identify delinquency trends and mitigate risks.
3) Data Analytics & Digital Collections: Leverage data analytics, AI/ML, and digital collection tools to enhance collection efficiency and reduce costs.
4) Agency & Vendor Management: Develop and manage third-party collection agencies, legal partners, and recovery vendors to ensure high performance.
5) Regulatory Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines, fair practices code, and other regulatory norms governing unsecured loan collections.
6) Legal & Litigation Strategy: Collaborate with legal teams to drive enforcement actions, including SARFAESI, arbitration, and litigation for high-risk cases.
7) Technology & Automation: Drive automation initiatives, including digital payment reminders, IVR, chatbots, and self-service options for delinquent customers.
8) Capacity Planning & Resource Allocation: Optimize in-house and outsourced collection teams, ensuring the right mix of field and digital collections.
9) Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with risk, credit, legal, and business teams to align collections strategy with organizational goals.
10) Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Develop KPIs, MIS reports, and dashboards to track collection efficiency, agency performance, and cost of collections.
