About the Role
We're hiring a Head - Category for next-gen lifestyle brands, currently in its early scale-up phase. You'll work directly with the Brand Head and leadership to define the category roadmap, build a winning portfolio, and drive growth across D2C and marketplaces. This is a rare opportunity to lead a brand's 1 to 10 journey - owning P&L, product, pricing, GTM, and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end P&L for the category, driving revenue, profitability, and sustainable growth across D2C and marketplace channels.
- Build and execute assortment, pricing, and merchandising strategies that align with brand positioning and business objectives.
- Partner with internal teams (design, sourcing, marketing) and external partners to drive inventory planning, demand generation, and customer experience.
- Lead new brand/category development, innovation sprints, and partnership initiatives to expand portfolio and deepen customer relevance.
- Leverage data, trends, and market intelligence to define category vision and optimize performance levers such as pricing, selection, and lifecycle management.
- Work cross-functionally with product, tech, growth, supply chain, and analytics teams to scale operations in a customer-first, digitally native manner.
- Drive brand storytelling, launches, and visibility across key platforms and campaigns, ensuring relevance, differentiation, and recall.
Candidate Requirements:
- MBA from a Tier-1 institute (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, FMS, MDI, etc.) preferred.
- 8-15 years of experience in fashion, lifestyle, e-commerce, or consumer brand environments, with strong exposure to category/brand management.
- Proven track record of owning P&L, driving growth, and leading high-impact category initiatives from 0 to scale.
- Deep understanding of consumer behavior, pricing, assortment planning, and multi-channel commerce dynamics.
- Strong analytical mindset, leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, agile setups with cross-functional complexity.
