Job Description



Role Objective



The Head Business Development will lead the sourcing and onboarding of new lendersbanks and housing finance companiesfor IMGC. This role requires a strong technical and analytical foundation and a strategic mindset to expand mortgage guarantee adoption in India. The incumbent will also drive relationship-building efforts with key stakeholders such as rating agencies, market aggregators, and industry bodies etc. to promote the mortgage guarantee product and its value proposition.



Key Responsibilities



New Client Acquisition:



- Identify and pursue prospective lenders and borrower segments in collaboration with the


product development team. Conduct feasibility analysis to ensure commercial viability.



Deal Closure & Onboarding:



- Drive end-to-end deal closure including commercial negotiations and agreement finalization.



- Maintain relationship ownership of new clients for 612 months post-onboarding until business volumes stabilize.



Revenue Achievement:



- Achieve and exceed defined sales and revenue targets.



Industry Engagement:



- Develop a network within the mortgage and lending ecosystem. Build and sustain long-term


relationships with senior executives at lending institutions.



Client Communication & Positioning:



- Present and position IMGCs offerings to clients in a compelling and professional manner to


drive engagement and product recall.



Compliance & Governance:



- Ensure all actions adhere to relevant compliance obligations. Uphold high ethical standards and escalate any concerns appropriately.



Cross-Functional Collaboration:



- Work closely with product, legal, credit, and sales operations teams to create and implement


revenue growth strategies.



Skills



- Proven B2B sales experience with expertise in commercial deal structuring and negotiation



- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen to analyze market opportunities and assess


implications of decisions



- High-impact interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in engaging with CXO


level stakeholders



- Skilled in negotiation, influence, and relationship management



- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and legal awareness



- Exceptional time management and multi-tasking abilities in fast-paced, dynamic


environments



- Practical and pragmatic mindsetability to make decisions based on limited data and short


timelines



- Energetic, self-driven, and result-oriented professional



Other Specifications



Educational Qualification : Masters degree or equivalent in Business Administration from a premier B-school



Years of Experience:



- Minimum 10 years of functional experience in business development, Product or credit management, or corporate sales



- Preferred industry exposure in commercial lending, mortgages, or insurance
