Role Overview:
- The Head of Admin and Security will oversee and ensure the effective management of administrative operations and security infrastructure for the organization.
- Leveraging extensive leadership experience from a Defence background, the candidate will focus on ensuring workplace safety, seamless administrative processes, and a secure environment aligned with the renewable energy industry's unique requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration:
1. Facility Management:
- Oversee maintenance and operation of company facilities, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Manage contracts and relationships with service providers for housekeeping, transportation, and maintenance.
2. Policy Implementation:
- Develop and enforce administrative policies, procedures, and systems in line with organizational objectives.
- Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory guidelines related to the renewable energy sector.
3. Resource Optimization:
- Manage budgets for administrative expenses, ensuring cost-effective procurement and resource utilization.
- Oversee logistics, employee welfare amenities, and office infrastructure.
Security Management:
1. Physical Security:
- Implement robust security protocols to safeguard assets, infrastructure, and personnel at offices, warehouses, and project sites.
- Manage access controls, surveillance systems, and emergency response measures.
2. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Conduct risk assessments of physical and operational security vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement crisis management and disaster recovery plans, especially for project sites exposed to environmental and operational risks.
3. Team Leadership:
- Oversee and manage security personnel, including hiring, training, and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services for additional support when needed.
Leadership and Coordination:
1. Serve as the primary point of contact for senior management on all administrative and security- related matters.
2. Foster a culture of discipline, accountability, and operational excellence within the teams.
3. Coordinate with project managers to ensure administrative and security support aligns with renewable energy project timelines.
Key Qualifications:
1. Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in [Relevant Field, e.g., Management, Engineering]. A Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is a plus.
2. Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of leadership experience, preferably with a defense services background and at least 5 years in an administrative or security role in a corporate/industrial setting.
3. Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols, emergency preparedness, and crisis management.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and optimize resources effectively.
- Familiarity with compliance and safety regulations relevant to the renewable energy sector.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
4. Technical Proficiency:
- Knowledge of security systems (CCTV, access controls) and facility management software.
Preferred Traits:
Mandatory - Defence Background: Demonstrated leadership experience as an officer in the armed forces, with exposure to operations, administration, and personnel management.
- Renewable Industry Understanding: Awareness of operational and security challenges specific to renewable energy projects (e.g., solar farms, wind farms).
