Head - Accounts - Food Retail Organization

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and reports.

- Monitor cash flow, financial risks, and optimize financial performance.

- Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations.

Accounting Oversight:

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

- Ensure accurate financial transactions and reconciliation of accounts.

Compliance & Regulatory Affairs:

- Ensure compliance with GST, income tax, and other statutory obligations.

- Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies for audits and compliance reviews.

- Stay updated on tax laws, accounting regulations, and reporting requirements.

Team Leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and develop an accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture.

- Set departmental goals, objectives, and performance metrics.

Accounting Systems & Procedures:

- Implement and maintain efficient accounting systems and internal controls.

- Develop and update accounting policies in line with industry best practices.

Financial Strategy:

- Work with senior management to develop financial strategies for business growth.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's or CPA preferred.

- Experience: Minimum 7-10 years in accounting/finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role in the retail sector.

- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate compliance.

Skills:

- Proficiency in Tally, SAP, or equivalent accounting software.

- Advanced Excel & financial modeling skills.

- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication abilities.
