Head - Accounts/Audit & Taxation - CA

Responsibilities:

- Oversee complete accounting operations and ensure timely, accurate financial records.

- Supervise preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).

- Ensure reconciliations for bank, vendor, and customer accounts.

- Manage AP/AR processes and compliance with Ind-AS and regulatory frameworks.

- Develop and implement effective tax strategies ensuring compliance with Indian laws.

- Handle GST, TDS/TCS, and direct tax compliance; ensure timely return filings.

- Monitor tax implications of business decisions and lead tax planning initiatives.

- Oversee internal & statutory audits; coordinate with auditors for quarterly/annual audits.

- Ensure implementation of audit recommendations and maintain strong internal controls.

- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST Act, and other applicable laws.

- Handle assessments, audits, and liaise with regulatory authorities.

- Lead a team of accountants/finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and motivation.

- Collaborate with management on budgeting, forecasting, MIS, and financial analysis.

- Support strategic growth with detailed reports, financial insights, and projections.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA).

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, audit, and taxation; at least 2-3 years in a senior/leadership role.

- Prior experience in a Trading company/startup environment preferred.

- Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws (GST, TDS, Direct Taxes) and Ind-AS.

- Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software (Tally, SAP, or similar).

- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.

- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, audits, and compliance procedures.
