Guna Solar - General Manager - Projects

Guna Solar is seeking a proven leader to join us as General Manager - Projects, responsible for the end-to-end delivery of all our solar and clean energy projects across India. This includes C&I rooftop solar, ground-mounted solar, and C&I & MW Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

As a senior member of our leadership team, you will take full ownership of project planning, procurement, engineering, site execution, and commissioning-ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with uncompromising quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead execution of MW-scale C&I rooftop, ground-mounted, hybrid solar, and BESS projects across India

- Drive project planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and team performance

- Ensure all statutory and regulatory approvals (DISCOM, CEIG, ALMM, net-metering, etc.)

- Guide engineering and procurement teams on BOQs, quality specs, and material deliveries

- Monitor progress, resolve site-level issues, and maintain project documentation and reporting

- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality norms, and performance guarantees

- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performance project delivery team

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients for successful handover and O&M readiness

Desired Profile:

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil (MBA preferred)

- 15-20 years of experience in solar project delivery; experience in C&I BESS systems is highly desirable

- Solar industry experience is mandatory - candidates from non-solar industries will not be considered

- Deep understanding of C&I customer needs, HT systems, grid interconnections, and BESS integrations

- Demonstrated experience in handling multi-megawatt solar + storage projects

- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills

- Familiarity with ERP/project tracking tools, compliance processes, and safety audits
