IT Head - Network/System Engineer background

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the entire IT department, including network infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, and helpdesk functions.

- Define and implement IT strategy, policies, and standards aligned with the organization's goals.

- Oversee planning, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems, hardware, software, and network architecture.

- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all IT systems and services.

- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to improve IT efficiency and support digital transformation.

- Manage IT budgets, procurement, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.

- Develop and lead IT risk management and business continuity planning.

- Build and mentor a high-performing IT team; foster a culture of service excellence and innovation.

- Ensure compliance with data protection, IT governance, and industry regulations.

- Coordinate with other business units to identify technology needs and provide effective IT solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT, with a strong foundation in networking and system administration.

- Proven experience in a leadership or IT management role.

- Hands-on expertise in managing network infrastructure, firewalls, servers (Windows/Linux), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices, disaster recovery, and IT compliance standards.

- Experience in IT service management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

- Strategic thinking with the ability to balance technical and business needs.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g, CCNP, MCSE, CISSP, ITIL, PMP)
