Roles & Responsibilities:


- Oversee daily performance at the collection center, ensuring efficient receipt, cleaning, sorting, grading, weighing, and packing of produce

- Develop and implement sourcing strategies, manage relationships with farmers and suppliers, and negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure cost -effective procurement while maintaining quality standards

- Price Discovery (Reference to Mandi Prices, Market Auctions, Use of Market Intelligence, Direct Linkages and Contract Farming, Digital Platform, Competition)

- Crop Planning to be done by CC/Farmer/Crop wise and Adherence of crop planning should be 80%

- Supply Fill rate target for CCs will be 95%Compliance on Field Visit

- Collection Centre Volume Contribution Target has to be achieved 100%

- Monitor market trends and adjust procurement and strategies accordingly

- Optimize logistics to reduce costs and improve efficiency. (Vehicle Utilization to be 80 to 85%)

- Collection Centre Vehicles should be dispatched on time and the OTD Target should be achieved 100%

- Build Strong relationships with farmer groups and support their Organizational development

- Unique Crops and Varieties to be grown through the Farmer engagement program

Qualification and Skills:

- A Bachelors Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Supply Chain Management or a related field is required.

- 8-10 Years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, or quality management in fruits and vegetables is generally expected

- Experience in managing teams, working with farmers, and handling supply chain is highly valued

- Ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships

- Understanding market trends, pricing, and consumer demand of fruits and vegetables

- Experience in leading teams, training staff, and building strong relationships with farmers and suppliers

- Strong Analytical thinking and ability to quickly adapt to changing market and supply conditions

- Positive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to brainstorm and solve problems.
