We are looking for an accomplished and high-energy General Manager to lead the P&L and drive end-to-end ownership of a specific business unit. This role combines strategic thinking with operational excellence and is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You will be responsible for business performance, sales leadership, team productivity, cost optimization, and overall customer satisfaction for the unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Unit P&L Ownership:
- Own and manage the full P&L of the business unit, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
- Set clear revenue, margin, and cost targets aligned with overall company goals.
- Continuously monitor financial performance, identify variances, and implement corrective measures as needed.
Sales & Operational Leadership:
- Lead daily sales operations and monitor key funnel metrics (lead conversion, TAT, CSAT, etc.) to drive consistent performance.
- Define and implement scalable sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly business targets.
- Work on initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase efficiency across the sales and delivery process.
Team Management & Capability Building:
- Hire, onboard, and manage a team of business managers and sales leaders.
- Drive team productivity, build a performance-oriented culture, and ensure continuous learning and skill development.
- Foster strong alignment to business vision, values, and long-term goals.
Strategic Projects & Process Improvements:
- Lead special initiatives aimed at improving customer experience, operational scalability, and sales effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, finance, tech) to execute programs that enhance business unit performance.
- Bring first-principle thinking and a data-driven approach to solving complex business challenges.
Customer Success & Experience:
- Drive exceptional customer satisfaction by ensuring service excellence and timely resolution of issues.
- Work with internal stakeholders to continuously improve customer journeys and support mechanisms.
Key Requirements:
- Top Tier Education (IIM, IIT, ISB etc) - in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
- 3-6 years of mid management experience in sales leadership, business operations, or P&L ownership within a fast-growing company or startup environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills; proven track record of managing high-performing teams.
- High level of comfort with data, KPIs, and operational dashboards.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias for action and continuous improvement.
