Job Summary
We are seeking a highly accomplished and results-driven General Manager Civil with extensive experience in High-Rise Projects. This critical leadership role will be based in either Bangalore or Gurugram and will be responsible for the end-to-end execution and successful delivery of large-scale high-rise residential or commercial building projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of civil construction, exceptional project management capabilities, and proven leadership skills to drive projects from conception to handover.
The General Manager Civil will be responsible for the comprehensive management and successful execution of high-rise residential or commercial building projects. This includes strategic planning, meticulous execution, stringent quality assurance, effective budget management, efficient team leadership, and ensuring the timely delivery of projects while adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution & Oversight: Lead and oversee all civil construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications, engineering standards, and project timelines.
- Quality Assurance & Control: Implement and enforce rigorous quality control measures for all civil works, including concrete technology, structural integrity, and finishing works, ensuring the highest standards of construction quality.
- Budget Management: Manage project budgets effectively, monitor expenditures, identify potential cost overruns, and implement corrective actions to ensure projects remain within financial targets.
- Team Leadership & Management: Build, lead, mentor, and motivate large project teams, including engineers, supervisors, and contractors. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Safety Management: Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and protocols on site, promoting a culture of safety among all personnel.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise effectively with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure seamless coordination and resolution of project-related issues.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks (technical, financial, operational) and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
- Reporting & Communication: Provide regular, accurate, and timely project progress reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and proposed solutions.
- Timely Delivery & Handover: Ensure projects are completed within the stipulated timelines and budget, meeting all quality parameters, leading to successful handover to clients or relevant departments.

- Civil Construction Expertise: Strong in-depth knowledge of civil construction methodologies, practices, and materials.
- Concrete Technology: Expertise in concrete technology, including mix design, pouring, curing, and quality control for high-rise applications.
- Formwork Systems: Proficient knowledge and hands-on experience with the latest and advanced formwork systems used in high-rise construction.
- Leadership & Team Building: Exceptional leadership qualities with a demonstrated ability to build, inspire, and manage large, diverse teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex construction challenges.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 15 to 25 years of progressive experience in civil construction, with a significant portion dedicated to high-rise building projects.
- Industry Background: Experience within the Real Estate, Construction, or Infrastructure industries is essential.
