About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned real estate professional to establish and lead our real estate operations in India. This strategic leadership role involves developing land parcels into commercial and industrial assets, ensuring end-to-end project success-from conceptualization to completion. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry expertise, strong execution capabilities, and a robust network to drive high-impact real estate projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Development & Strategy
- Lead the overall project development, conceptualization, and execution for commercial and industrial real estate assets.
- Identify new project locations and explore joint venture or joint development opportunities.
Planning & Execution
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including design, planning, approvals, and execution.
- Manage techno-commercial aspects of the project such as BOQ preparation, budgeting, and vendor negotiations.
- Drive project timelines, cost control, and ensure high-quality standards with on-time handover.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Identify, appoint, and manage architects, contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Build and leverage relationships with developers, regulatory authorities, and vendors for smooth project delivery.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Liaise with government bodies to secure licenses, approvals, and permits.
- Ensure compliance with construction norms, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Financial Oversight
- Oversee banking, funding aspects, and maintain project P&L accountability.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure cost-efficient execution.
Leadership & Coordination
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously with seamless coordination.
- Provide strategic direction, mentoring, and leadership to project teams.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: Minimum 20 years of experience in real estate project management, with proven success in commercial/industrial developments (malls, office complexes, industrial setups).
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, government regulations, construction norms, and vendor ecosystem.
Track Record: Prior experience with leading real estate firms (e.g., DLF, Vatika, Unitech, etc.) is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong financial acumen and project leadership abilities.
Network: Well-established connections within the real estate and construction ecosystem.
Education
- Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline.
- Master's degree preferred, particularly in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related fields.
