Operation and maintenance of 250MW Thermal Power Plant:
- HSSE, Human Relations, Industrial Relations, Procurement, Lignite transportation and Government/Stakeholder relations are the main areas of responsibility.
- Develop annual and long-term operating plan in line with the cos strategies and offtakers requirement.
- Ensure requirements of assigned responsibility areas are carried out in a manner that meets expectations and realises strategic objectives of the organization.
The incumbent will have overall responsibility for leading the following core functions.
HSSE:
- Establish and maintain high standards of Health, Safety and Environment.
- Ensure HSSE targets and objectives are achieved, improvement measures are effected and regulatory requirements are complied.
- Provide visible health and safety leadership and direction to administer and manage safe, efficient and reliable operation of the power station.
Operations:
- Guide and oversee operations of the plant, through interaction with functional managers.
- Implement prudent operation practices to ensure optimum performance of the Plant to achieve targeted results.
- Ensure all operational and maintenance statistics, data, reports and records are maintained as per and regulatory requirements and reported promptly.
- Achieve power generation targets in line with strategies and Off takers requirement.
- Co-ordination with offtaker to manage power despatch demand and generation.
Maintenance:
- Establish and implement Reliability and Availability Centred Maintenance Policy.
- Continuous functioning of power plant equipment.
- Plan and oversee implementation of adequate programs for maintenance of power plant equipment, including plant outage programs.
- Develop and implement appropriate preventive and planned maintenance programme for Plant and Equipment.
- Co-ordinate Root Cause Analysis for incidents/breakdown/outages with corrective action proposals and implementation of lessons learned.
- Oversee identification, evaluation, and implementation of plant improvement opportunities to develop means for improving the Plant life and/or performance at optimal costs.
- Oversee contractors performance to ensure compliance with all technical and commercial aspects of the agreement.
Projects and Procurement Management:
- Manage projects such as Plant equipment upgrade and process improvement.
- Oversee Companys Procurement Plans; timely, cost effective and quality procurement of Spares, Consumables and other requirements.
- Ensure high ethical standards and business conduct are in place and complied with.
Business Plans and Strategies:
- Develop annual and long-term operating plan in line with strategies and offtakers requirement.
- Responsible for Plant Budgets, including Operations and Maintenance budget, Major Maintenance and CAPEX programs and Plant Administration budgets.
- Planning and budgeting Spares requirement for maintenance of Plant equipment.
- Develop and administer Strategic Objectives and Plans for continuous optimization and effective utilization of resources.
- Risk identification, assessment and implementation of effective mitigation measures.
Human Resources:
- Lead Plant team effectively to reach set objectives and targets, including recruitment, talent management, administering employee development and engagement programs.
- Develop and set Scorecards and Key Results, ensure timely assessment and feedback.
- Establish and implement Succession Plan for key positions.
Administration:
- Ensure compliance of values, policies, procedures and objectives in all areas.
- Administration of staff and functions.
- Manages Plant Residential Housing Colony, its regulations and compliances.
- Administering Companys Corporate Social Responsibility programs.
- Overseeing audits, certification, risk assessment and internal control programs and ensure execution of action plans.
- Maintain good public relations with local leaders, village administrators, government departments and with all stakeholders.
Statutory Compliances:
- Comply regulatory requirements, including Environment, Factories Act and Labour law requirements.
- Ensure conformance with statutory requirements in respect of safety certificates for boilers, cranes, hoists and other equipment.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.
QUALIFICATIONS (Professional, Technical, Academic):
Essential:
- Full Time graduate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Preferred:
- Certification on HSE Management Systems.
- Degree or certification on Business Management and Administration.
