Position Overview:

The General Manager - Content is a senior leadership role focused on driving content strategy, creation, and distribution for our client. The ideal candidate must be a qualified Doctor (MD, MBBS, or any other recognized medical degree) with extensive experience in content development, particularly in healthcare or life sciences. This individual will ensure that all content aligns with the company's goals, maintains clinical accuracy, and is tailored to our target audience, which includes healthcare professionals, medical practitioners, and industry experts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Healthcare Content Strategy: Develop and lead a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the company's vision in the healthcare, IT, and life sciences sectors, ensuring that content remains clinically accurate and relevant.

- Clinical Oversight: Provide clinical guidance and oversight on all content, ensuring the medical integrity and accuracy of information provided across various platforms, such as websites, blogs, white papers, and educational content.

- Content Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of content creators, editors, and medical writers, fostering a collaborative environment that ensures high-quality content production.

- Medical Thought Leadership: Position the company as a thought leader in the healthcare and IT space by producing research-driven content, case studies, white papers, and articles that highlight industry trends, technological advancements, and medical innovations.

- Collaboration with Clinical Teams: Work closely with internal subject matter experts, including physicians, healthcare professionals, and product managers, to create content that is both clinically accurate and aligned with the company's strategic goals.

- Content Marketing and Distribution: Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize the distribution of content across digital channels, ensuring that content reaches the right audience, including healthcare professionals, institutions, and other stakeholders.

- Clinical Content Review: Conduct regular reviews and updates to content to ensure compliance with medical regulations, industry standards, and emerging healthcare trends.

- SEO and Analytics: Utilize SEO strategies to improve the online visibility of healthcare-related content. Leverage analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of content and make data-driven adjustments.

- Industry Engagement: Represent the company at medical conferences, webinars, and other healthcare-related events to stay updated on the latest trends and provide insights into the company's content strategy.

Key Qualifications:

- Education: A Doctorate (MD, MBBS, or other recognized medical degree) is compulsory.

Experience:

- Minimum of 15 years of experience in content creation, strategy, or marketing, preferably within the healthcare, IT, or life sciences industries.

- At least 10 years of leadership experience in content or medical communication roles.

- Medical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of clinical practices, healthcare regulations, and medical terminology. Experience in translating complex medical information into clear, engaging content.

Content Strategy Skills:

- Expertise in content strategy and digital marketing, especially in healthcare or related sectors.

- Strong editorial skills with an emphasis on medical and technical accuracy.

- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex medical concepts to a broad audience, including healthcare professionals and the general public.

- Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), SEO tools, and analytics platforms to drive content optimization and growth.

Preferred Attributes:

- Experience in managing cross-functional teams including writers, designers, and medical experts.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
