General Manager- Marketing

LEVEL: Middle Management

ROLE OBJECTIVE: Focused effort towards Market Positioning & Advertising

REPORTING TO: CSMO & Administrative reporting COO and Promoters

QUALIFICATIONS: P.G. in Marketing

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Branding Strategy:

- Develop branding, market positioning plan along with the leadership team A

- Execute the Plan as per the approvals R

- Participate in various external industry events, networking circles to keep up-to-date knowledge as well as market the brand A

Market Positioning:

- Performs annual assessment and defines annual marketing plan A

- Devices & Implements Market Positioning Strategies based on Management directives & Market conditions A

- Device Marketing Strategies for Services, Markets and Customers as per need of the hour A

Marketing & Advertising:

- Plans for expanding the scope for new Marketing/Promotion methods and feasibility study, resulting in deeper market penetration and reach in the Market A

- Benchmark competitors that shall facilitate identification of key issues and/or competitive advantages.


- To monitor and report tactical moves from competition (price, discount) R

- Performs annual assessment of current Branding and Marketing strategy and performance against objectives set in the previous financial year for the Market. A

- Plans and guide implementation of annual /Zone/Project-wise Marketing Plan. A

- Collaborate for development of go to market approach for all customers in terms of specific propositions and tools R

- Develop techno- commercial Business case for entry into new territories/markets A

- Monitor product positioning in markets and Review Sales channel trade marketing promotion activities A

Marketing Budgets and Calendar:

- Identifies promotion activities for month/year, allocates budgets for promotion activities, and prepares promotion and Marketing activities calendar. A

- Coordinates with the Sales for driving marketing /promotion activities. R

- Launch the new/modified services along with the Sales Team either on Big Bang or Pilot Approach A

Process Responsibilities Role:

Market Intelligence:

- Gather valuable market information in areas of economy changes, industry dynamics, competitor moves, technology changes to tap development opportunities. A

- Conduct Market feasibilities based on the probable opportunity. A

- Frequent competitor benchmarking of performance of various markets, services, market share. A

- Provide periodic insights and updates triggered through market intelligence effort to improve planning, decision making, operations and performance to various business / Country representatives.


A Networking:

- Participate in various external industry events, networking circles to keep up-to-date knowledge R

- Participate in industry forums, conferences and seminars and represent the organization. R

Manage Advertising and Corporate Communications:

- Periodically Interact with external stakeholders (Ecommerce Players, Digital Media, Mass media, local investors) to manage and enhance the brand, Market Positioning and understand stakeholder expectations.


- Positively promotes organization brand, business performance amongst stakeholders (investors, brokers, customers, influencers) for the benefit of the organization. R


- Manage consistence/ ongoing internal and external communications in the external marketplace through Digital Media, trade Fairs, newspapers and films, e-mails and notice boards to:

i) build preference, trust and loyalty

ii) demonstrate and strengthen the brand image


- Design and develop a communication mechanism which would enable the organization to articulate its social activities. A


- Manage special events communication coordinated

- Develop, proof-read and update communications material. A

- Ensure all corporate communications databases are updated. A

- Gather information and inputs from relevant departments to compile public speeches, announcements for project launch and other major initiatives undertaken by . A
