Role Overview

The GM Digital Engagement will lead the strategic design, implementation, and optimization of digital engagement initiatives. This role is responsible for enhancing HCP engagement, consumer engagement, CRM adoption, multi-channel marketing, and sales force automation to drive business growth and strengthen market leadership in the pharmaceutical sector.

The incumbent will work closely with sales, marketing, IT, and medical affairs to create scalable, compliant, and innovative digital solutions, ensuring measurable impact on business performance.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership


- Develop and execute a multi-year digital marketing and engagement roadmap for HCPs and consumers, aligned with business objectives.

- Lead omni-channel marketing initiatives covering CRM, email, web, mobile, social media, webinars, OTT platforms, and automated sales tools.

- Define KPIs, track performance, and drive ROI from digital initiatives. Explore integration of digital strategies with AI / predictive analytics.


HCP & Consumer Engagement


- Design and implement innovative engagement programs for doctors, specialists, and KOLs through digital-first strategies.

- Oversee patient education and consumer outreach programs, ensuring therapy awareness and brand connect.

- Strengthen partnerships with key medical associations and professional bodies.


CRM & Sales Force Automation


- Lead CRM strategy and execution to ensure effective segmentation, targeting, and engagement across channels.

- Implement and optimize Sales Force Automation tools to improve productivity, data quality, and decision-making.


Brand & Portfolio Support


- Partner with brand teams for annual brand planning, integrating differentiated digital tactics to enhance market share.

- Support lifecycle management of key brands with tailored digital strategies.


Team & Vendor Management


- Build and lead a high-performing digital team, nurturing future leaders.

- Manage digital marketing agencies, technology vendors, and platform partners to deliver high-quality outcomes.


Innovation & Future Readiness


- Champion emerging technologies such as AI, predictive analytics, and personalization engines to stay ahead of industry trends.

- Continuously scan the market for innovations that can enhance engagement and competitive advantage.


Qualifications & Experience


- Education: Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Science, Marketing, or related field; MBA (Marketing/Pharma Management) preferred.


- Experience: 1215 years in digital marketing, commercial excellence, or strategic marketing in the pharmaceutical industry (mandatory).

- Proven success in multi-channel marketing, CRM implementation, and sales force automation in pharma.

- Demonstrated leadership in digital transformation and managing large field force enablement programs.

- Strong understanding of pharma compliance, HCP engagement norms, and regulatory requirements.


Preferred Skills


- Expertise in data analytics and marketing automation platforms.

- Strong stakeholder and change management skills.

- Experience launching large-scale patient or HCP outreach programs.

- Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into business impact.
