About the job:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven GM Business Development (International) to lead and expand our footprint in global markets, including the U.S., Europe, and other key international regions. This role will focus on winning high-value contracts, forging strategic partnerships with global OEMs, and driving business growth.
Position: General Manager Business Development (International)
Experience: 15- 20 years (Minimum 10 years in international business development)
Qualification:
- Essential: B.E. in Electronics / Electrical Engineering
- Preferred: MBA
- Exception: Candidates with relevant experience in engineering disciplines
Role Overview and Responsibilities:
- International Business Growth: Win orders and develop new business opportunities with global markets, including engagements with overseas OEMs.
- Strategic Partnerships: Build and strengthen relationships with international OEMs to position Samtel as a Tier 1 supplier for key systems.
- Techno-Commercial Leadership: Lead bidding, tendering, and negotiations, ensuring competitive and profitable deals.
- Customer Engagement: Interface with sourcing & design teams of global customers to identify new opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal design & engineering teams to align product development with customer needs.
- Market Intelligence & Competition Analysis: Gather and analyze industry trends, competitor insights, and global procurement processes to refine business strategies.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven expertise in international business development, with a strong network across global OEMs, government agencies, and international organizations.
- Deep understanding of international procurement, tendering processes, and government liaison.
- Strong technical acumen to engage in discussions on electronics, avionics, and advanced technology solutions.
- Extensive experience in institutional sales, particularly with global OEMs.
- Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to international armed forces.
