About The Role:
- The onboarding team plays a crucial role in shaping company culture by ensuring new hires understand and embrace the organization's values, norms, and expectations from the start, fostering a sense of belonging and engagement.
- As a Senior Manager - New Hire Onboarding & Behavioral Learning, you will be a key contributor to drive consistent onboarding experience for new hire Flipsters across all locations of Flipkart.
- In this role, you will be responsible for driving the strategic design, development, delivery and optimization of impactful & seamless learning programs aimed at onboarding new employees and instilling a sense of pride in them.
- This role requires strong leadership, collaboration, accountability and an understanding of the eCommerce sector to drive learning outcomes that align with business goals and ensure a seamless integration of new hires into the company culture irrespective of whether the new hires joins the corporate or regional teams.
- You will be responsible for creating and implementing an engaging, efficient, and impactful end to end onboarding experience that prepares new employees for success in their roles, equipped with the knowledge and skills and further supports their long-term retention and growth within the company. To succeed in this role, you will deeply collaborate across departments, work closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to align the onboarding process with organizational goals, values and culture tenets.

You are Responsible for:
New Hire Onboarding:
1-Onboarding Strategy to action : Create a detailed roadmap to action the strategy to assimilate new hires. Design and implement a comprehensive new hire onboarding program, ensuring that new employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and culture alignment needed to succeed in their roles.
2-End-to-End Process Management: Oversee the complete onboarding journey from pre-boarding to the completion of the onboarding phase, collaborating with HR, IT, and all relevant department heads.
3-Experience Design: Continuously improve the onboarding experience to create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports new hires in their initial months and instills a sense of pride in them.
4-Stakeholder Collaboration and governance: Work closely with senior leadership, HR, and department heads to align onboarding content with business updates, Organization history, cultural values, and performance expectations. Develop metrics and tools to measure the effectiveness of the onboarding programs. run regular governance connects with key stakeholders to continuously improve.
5-Technology Utilization: Leverage digital tools, learning management systems (LMS), and other technologies to deliver a scalable and efficient onboarding experience.
Behavioral Learning & Development:
1-Behavioral Learning Programs: Conduct a detailed TNI through empathy interviews, IDP data analysis, Performance data analysis and deploy online behavioral learning programs focused on enhancing key soft skills such as communication, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, personal branding, storytelling, stakeholder management, negotiation, teamwork et al.
2-Learning Platform Utilization: Leverage online learning platforms and tools to deliver engaging, scalable, and accessible behavioral development programs to employees across various levels.
3-Custom Learning Paths: Develop tailored learning journeys that cater to different employee segments, ensuring that learning opportunities are relevant and aligned with the specific needs of teams, departments, and career paths.
4-Behavioral Metrics & Evaluation: Track and measure the effectiveness of behavioral learning programs through key performance indicators (KPIs), participant feedback, and learning outcomes. Use data to improve and optimize future training programs.
5-Collaboration & Engagement: Work closely with team leaders and managers to ensure behavioral learning is integrated into Individual development plans and performance management processes so that the solutions are personalized and application oriented.
Strategic planning, Change Management & Continuous Improvement:
1-Learning Strategy Alignment: Align new hire onboarding and behavioral learning initiatives with the company's overall strategic goals and values, ensuring the programs contribute to improved employee performance and engagement.
2-Adaptability: Stay current on industry trends, emerging learning technologies, and best practices in onboarding and behavioral skill development.
3-Innovation: Champion innovation in learning methods and delivery, experimenting with new formats, tools, and approaches to enhance learning outcomes.
Feedback Loop: Establish a system for collecting and acting on feedback from new hires and employees to refine and improve the learning processes continuously.
To succeed in this role - you should have the following
Key Requirements:
1-Experience: Minimum of 11+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role focused on onboarding and/or behavioral learning. Experience in eCommerce or large-scale organizations is highly preferred.
2- Educational Background: Master's degree in Human Resources/ Organizational Development/Organizational Psychology.
3-Certification in psychometric (DISC, HOGAN) tools, Certification in Facilitation skills is a plus
4-Passionate about exploring different Tech solves like AR/VR, AI/ML based solutions et al to enhance learner experience will be a plus
5- Curious and informed about content platforms and adoption strategies to drive self paced learning
Skills & Competencies:
1- Strong leadership and team management skills.
2- Proven track record in designing and executing impactful new hire onboarding and behavioral learning programs.
3- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) , learning content platforms and eLearning tools.
