Chartered Accountant with 15+ yrs experience in QSR industry (Quick Service Restaurant)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards and IFRS.
- Ensure accurate and timely consolidation and reporting of financial results.
- Monitor daily cash flows, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis and present key insights to management.
2. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage annual budgets for multiple outlets.
- Analyze P&L performance at store level and corporate level.
- Implement cost control systems and monitor food cost, labor cost, and other operating expenses.
3. Internal Controls & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and statutory compliance (Tanzanian tax laws, VAT, payroll taxes, etc.).
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
4. Strategic Planning
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support business expansion and new store openings.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and ROI on marketing campaigns and CAPEX.
5. Team Management
- Supervise and mentor the finance and accounts team.
- Coordinate with procurement, operations, and HR departments for cross-functional alignment.
6. ERP & Automation
- Lead implementation and optimization of accounting and POS systems (like Oracle, SAP, Tally, or restaurant-specific ERPs).
- Drive automation and digitization of financial processes.
Key Requirements:
Qualification: CA
Experience: Minimum 8 years in financial leadership roles, preferably in QSR
- Strong understanding of inventory, COGS, and store-level reporting.
- Prior international or African market experience is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
