We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Analyst specializing in Asset Liability Management (ALM). The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of hands-on experience in financial data analysis, risk metric generation, and reporting, with a strong understanding of treasury functions and ALM principles. This role requires a detail oriented individual who can identify anomalies, interpret complex financial data, and generate actionable insights to mitigate treasury and asset/liability risks.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Risk Assessment:
- Perform comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks related to treasury functions and asset/liability management.
- Generate and analyze risk metrics and reports, providing insights into market data, treasury risk, and asset/liability risk.
- Interpret financial data and provide clear, concise reports to stakeholders.
- Identify and understand risks reported by end-users.
ALM and Treasury Functions:
- Apply a strong understanding of ALM principles and practices to assess and manage financial risks.
- Analyze and interpret market data to evaluate its impact on treasury operations and asset/liability positions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of ALM models and methodologies.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of treasury functions, including liquidity management, funding, and investment activities.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports and presentations to senior management.
- Document data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data and reports.
Data Management:
- Extract, clean and transform data from various sources.
- Maintain data integrity.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience as a Financial Analyst with a focus on ALM.
- Proven experience in data analysis, risk metric generation, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of treasury functions and asset/liability management principles.
- Ability to identify and interpret financial anomalies and risks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Actual hands-on data analyst experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with Python for data analysis and automation.
- Experience with risk management software.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
