Finance Lead - Manufacturing Firm - CA

Job Overview :-

We are seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented India Finance Lead to take ownership of finance and accounting operations for our India entity. This position is critical to ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining compliance with Indian regulations, and supporting strategic decision-making. The role will report directly to the Corporate Controller based in the US and will act as the primary finance partner for the India business.

Key Responsibilities :-

- Accounting & Financial Reporting

- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for the India entity.

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Indian GAAP.

- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and schedules for management and audit purposes.

Manufacturing & Distribution Finance:

- Partner with manufacturing and distribution teams to provide financial insights and cost analysis.

- Ensure accurate valuation of inventory, costing, and related transactions.

- Drive financial controls across manufacturing operations to improve efficiency and cost management.

Treasury & Compliance:

- Oversee treasury operations, including cash flow management, banking relationships, and fund transfers.

- Ensure full compliance with statutory, tax, GST, and other regulatory requirements in India.

- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as required.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

- Support the annual budgeting process and prepare monthly rolling forecasts for the India entity.

- Monitor variances, analyze business drivers, and recommend corrective actions.

- Strategic insights to align financial planning with business goals.

Ad-hoc & Strategic Support:

- Undertake ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Corporate Controller.

- Contribute to financial process improvements and system enhancements.

- Support cross-border financial alignment between India and US headquarters.

Required Skills & Qualifications :-

- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10-14 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a manufacturing industry.

- Strong knowledge of , taxation, and compliance standards.

- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (manufacturing/financial ERP preferred).

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with local teams and global stakeholders.

- Proven ability to manage audits, statutory reporting, and treasury functions.
