Finance Head

A rapidly scaling, mobile-first consumer tech startup is looking for a Head of Finance to build and lead its finance function. The company is at an inflection point - expanding GTM velocity, increasing marketing spends, and maturing internal systems. This role will be instrumental in bringing financial discipline, structure, and strategic clarity across the board.

What You'll Own?

Controllership & Compliance:

- Set up and lead financial operations - accounting, audits, controls, and reporting.

- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant book closure; own statutory filings and board/investor reporting.

- Manage audits and coordinate with external partners (auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel).

- Implement scalable tools, SOPs, and internal control systems.

Business Finance & Strategic Support:

- Partner closely with founders and business leaders on forecasting, budgeting, and revenue planning.

- Drive insights on unit economics, customer acquisition ROI, and cost optimization.

- Monitor cash flow, working capital cycles, vendor payouts, and credit cycles.

- Support strategic initiatives - fundraising, cap table hygiene, scenario modeling, and M&A if relevant.

What We're Looking For?

- 7-10 years of experience, with a blend of:

- Early career in a Big 4 firm (audit/transaction advisory/tax)

- Later experience in VC-backed startups, ideally with exposure to both hypergrowth and structured scale

- CA is mandatory; CFA/MBA is a strong plus

- Proven track record of owning end-to-end finance charters (accounting to FP&A)

- Familiarity with digital business models and strong comfort with product/GTM metrics

- High attention to detail with a builder mindset - you bring both rigor and hustle

- Excellent stakeholder management - able to align with founders, investors, and functional heads
