Manager - Business Loan Collections


Key Responsibilities:


- Strategy and Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive collection strategies for business loans to achieve recovery targets.

- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of collection officers, fostering a high-performance culture.

Operational Management:

- Oversee daily collection activities, including portfolio allocation, call management, and field visits.

- Ensure all collection activities comply with legal and company policies.

Performance Monitoring:

- Analyze collection data and metrics to identify trends, forecast potential delinquencies, and adjust strategies accordingly.

- Prepare and present regular reports on collection performance to senior management.

Stakeholder Management:


- Collaborate with legal, credit, and sales teams to resolve complex collection cases.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to negotiate effective repayment plans.

Process Improvement:

- Continuously evaluate and improve collection processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Risk Management:

- Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with delinquent accounts.

- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of high-risk cases.

Required Skills:


Leadership:


- Proven ability to lead, manage, and inspire a team to meet and exceed targets.

Analytical Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Communication & Negotiation:

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to handle difficult conversations with debtors and internal stakeholders.

Domain Expertise:

- In-depth knowledge of the business loan collection process, regulatory guidelines, and legal frameworks specific to the NBFC sector.

Technical Proficiency:

- Proficient in using collection management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Education & Experience:

Education:


- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.

- A Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.

Experience:

- A minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in business loan collections, with a significant portion of that time in a managerial or leadership role within an NBFC
