About the Job:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our vibrant project operations team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in environmental thematic areas, coupled with proven expertise in project conceptualization, stakeholder engagement, and on-ground project management. This role demands excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively draft and manage social interventions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving impactful environmental projects from conception to implementation.
Job Description:
- This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful environmental initiatives. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept development to successful execution. The role requires a proactive and results-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
Relevant Experience:
- 5-7 years of professional experience in thematic areas related to the environment (e.g., waste management, water conservation, renewable energy, biodiversity conservation, pollution control, etc.).
- Proven experience in drafting and managing social interventions.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- Experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

Job Responsibilities:
Project Conceptualization and Drafting:
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify environmental challenges and opportunities.
- Develop innovative project concepts and proposals aligned with organizational goals and donor requirements.
- Prepare detailed project proposals, including budgets, timelines, and implementation plans.
Stakeholder Communication and Project Approval:
- Establish and maintain effective communication with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, community groups, and donors.
- Present project proposals to stakeholders and address their queries.
- Facilitate the project approval process by ensuring timely submission of required documentation.
On-ground Project Management:
- Develop and implement project implementation plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate and supervise project activities, including field surveys, community mobilization, and training programs.
- Monitor project progress and evaluate project outcomes.
- Ensure proper documentation of all project related activities.
- Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability.
Head of Project Operations Support:
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Head of Project Operations.
- Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Head of Project Operations.
- Outstation travel may be required.
