About Your Team

- Enterprise Data Management Team has been formed to execute FILs data strategy and be a data-driven organization.

- The team would be responsible for providing standards and policies and manage central data projects working with data programmes of various business functions across the organization in a hub-and-spoke model.

- The capabilities of this team includes data cataloguing and data quality tooling.

- The team would also ensure the adoption of tooling, enforce the standards and deliver on foundational capabilities.

About Your Role

- A technical consultant for Data Management with a focus on metadata solutions, your role is integral to enhancing the organisation's data management and governance capabilities.

- You'll collaborate with various teams to optimise the use of metadata, ensuring it supports accessibility and governance throughout the organisation.

- Your responsibilities include curating a data marketplace, defining data products, and establishing a common operating model for the data catalog and quality management.

About You

Key Responsibilities

- Designing and implementing a data catalog that aligns with the organisation's data management, quality, and analytics needs.

- Curating an Enterprise Metamodel to provide consistent language and structure across business, data, application, and technology domains.

- Managing the inventory of data assets, including sources, datasets, products, and business terms.

- Overseeing the creation, maintenance, and governance of metadata, including descriptions, definitions, and lineage.

- Facilitating the adoption of the data catalog through training sessions and user guides.

- Collaborating with the data governance team to ensure alignment with data governance frameworks and policies.

- Managing data access and security controls for authorised access.

- Developing reports and analytics to measure catalog usage and data quality.

- Identifying and implementing improvements in data catalog processes.

Experience And Qualifications Required.

- 9+ years of relevant industry experience.

- Preferably experience with data cataloguing, metadata management, and data quality platforms such as Collibra, IBM Information Knowledge Catalog, Atacama, or Informatica DQ.

- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in data management and data quality.

Essential Skills.

- A deep curiosity and passion for data.

- Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders.

- In-depth understanding of data cataloguing and metadata management.

- Strong technical proficiency with data cataloguing tools and platforms.

- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex data concepts in simple terms.

- Experience in training and mentoring team members on data catalog and metadata management.

- A proactive approach to resolving data management challenges.
