Role: Factory Head
My Client is is a disruptive D2C healthy dessert brand focused on ADDRESSING key gaps in guilt-free indulgence. They provide customers with healthy, low-calorie desserts which can be binged on while ensuring zero compromises on the taste and texture of the dessert.
Job Location: Turbhe, Navi Mumbai
Key Responsibilities:-
Production Management:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities related to production, including planning schedules, workflows, and resource allocation.
- Ensure the factory meets daily, weekly, and monthly production targets and deadlines.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize production efficiency.
Quality Control:
- Ensure all products meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee product testing, inspection, and the development of quality assurance processes.
- Implement corrective actions in response to quality issues.
Staff Management:
- Lead, supervise, and motivate factory personnel to meet operational goals.
- Manage recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and career development for both on payroll staff and off payroll workers within the factory.
- Ensure proper workforce planning to meet production demands while maintaining team morale.
Safety and Compliance:
- Promote a culture of safety within the factory by ensuring adherence to all safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and ensure the implementation of safety training programs.
- Monitor environmental, health, and safety policies to maintain regulatory compliance.
Budget and Cost Control:
- Manage the factory's budget, including controlling production costs, labor expenses, and raw materials usage.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Prepare reports on financial performance and cost analysis for senior management.
Maintenance and Equipment Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of factory equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance programs and ensure all equipment is functioning optimally.
- Manage inventory of raw materials, tools, and equipment.
Supply Chain and Inventory Management:
- Work with the supply chain team to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and other necessary resources.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring stock levels are maintained to prevent production delays.
- Coordinate with logistics and distribution teams to ensure timely dispatch of finished products.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present reports on production performance, costs, quality, and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory purposes.
- Report factory performance metrics to leadership team regularly.
Leadership and Strategy:
- Lead the factory's strategic planning, setting long-term objectives for growth and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as NPD, marketing and store operations team, to align manufacturing processes with organizational goals.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, efficiency, and excellence within the factory.
Key Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA in operations management is a plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in factory or plant management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in overseeing production, managing budgets, and leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
