Job Overview:

- Were looking for an Assistant Category Manager to support the growth of an exciting new home decor brand.

- This role will be responsible for driving product sourcing, development, merchandising, and go-to-market execution.

- Youll collaborate across design, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure timely product launches while supporting revenue and profitability goals.

- Ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, commercially sharp, and passionate about consumer products and design.


Key Responsibilities:

Assortment Planning & Product Lifecycle Management:

- Identify product gaps and consumer needs to develop a relevant and competitive assortment.

- Work with design teams to conceptualize and launch new SKUs aligned with brand identity and trends.

- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to pricing, launch, and phase-out planning.


Category Strategy & Growth:

- Analyze sales performance, consumer behavior, and market trends to support category planning.

- Recommend pricing, product positioning, and promotions to meet revenue and margin targets.

- Assist in building innovation pipelines and contribute to annual category planning.


Business Performance Management:

- Track key business metrics such as revenue, margins, and product contribution.

- Use data insights to optimize product mix and improve performance across D2C and offline/online channels.

- Work with sales and demand planning teams to drive forecast accuracy and inventory health.


Brand & Marketing Collaboration:

- Collaborate with marketing and brand teams on campaign calendars and go-to-market strategies.

- Support seasonal launches, influencer campaigns, and content planning.

- Ensure product messaging aligns with category goals and brand tone.


Cross-Functional Execution:

- Coordinate with supply chain, packaging, finance, and digital teams to ensure smooth product execution.

- Resolve operational challenges and ensure on-time delivery of category initiatives.

- Maintain clear communication across departments for seamless project management.


Experience:

- 4-6 years in category management, merchandising, brand management, or product marketing.

- Prior experience in home decor, lifestyle, or consumer brands preferred.


Skills:

- Strong analytical mindset; comfortable with Excel, dashboards, and market research tools.

- Sound commercial and pricing strategy understanding.

- Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication; presentation-ready.


Education:

- MBA or equivalent in Marketing, Business, or a related field (preferred).
