- We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Head to help us expand our overseas home furnishing products business.
- Will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.
- The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction as per the company's Business Plan.
- Evaluate the total value chain, understand manufacturing processes, deep knowledge of product and project costing.
- Lead the business agenda- by involving & engaging the competence needed, such as logistics, quality, manufacturing, sustainability, etc.
- Set goals and create action plans with each customer to enhance the full potentials of the business.
- Negotiate with customer and the suppliers.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
- Promote the company's products/services addressing or predicting clients' objectives
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Participate in RFI/RFQ, convert them into business.
- Identifying and analyzing global market trends
- Carry out agreed recruitment and business development activity
- Monitor and report monthly to the Director regarding key sales metrics and KPIs
- Attend Fairs, Conference, Open Events, Information sessions, Exhibitions, both internally and externally as requested
- Undertake other duties as allocated by the Director
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Supply Planning, production, NPD, Quality to ensure smooth execution of sales strategies
Essentials:
- The person will have a minimum of 20+ years of experience with international customers with at least 4 years in a management role, with an impressive proven track record of achieving sales targets and results in a challenging environment
- Strong ability to build personal rapport with a wide range of stakeholders and customers
- Flexible and willing to work outside standard business hours as required
- There is a requirement for international travel in this role, therefore a willingness to work after hours, weekdays and weekends is an essential
- Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills, with a proven track record of successful negotiations
- Analytical skills are necessary for working with numbers, when preparing for negotiating prices, or when setting priorities for your work, which is usually high-paced and demanding,
- Should have good computer knowledge i.e. MS Office (Power point, Excel and word), Experience of CRM is an added advantage.
