In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Directs, leads, and manages the Pune Technology team engaged with multiple business verticals.
- Lead and oversee the sites software and firmware development teams, encouraging a culture of innovation and delivery.
- Build and mentor a high-performance team of AI/ML professionals in alignment with Organization long-term plans.
- Interact with Technology Leadership across Emerson to develop short term and long-term strategic plan.
- Contribute to the increase in the departments value delivery through a combination of processes, personnel, and automation that drives improved productivity in the development of our products.
- Participate in the definition of technical vision, strategy and roadmap, then implement them.
- Ensure high performance and accountability through leading a multi-functional team comprising software development managers and ART leadership.
- Cultivate an innovative environment that encourages openness, collaboration and professional growth.
- Work with other department leaders to optimize team and cross-site performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and define outstanding processes.
- Stay knowledgeable about tools, methods, relevant trends and technologies for software and firmware development.
- Attract, develop and retain qualified and skilled staff and workforce.
- Mentor, coach, appraise employees and build a strong leadership team.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, 20+ years of relevant experience.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in software development, successfully leading multiple high-performing teams comprising 150+ software professionals in large-scale development environments.
- Strong background in software development lifecycle, with deep understanding of technologies, tools, and processes across development, testing, and maintenance phases.
- Exposure towards AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
- Demonstrated abilities in leading and driving performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication and partner management skills.
- Strong background in Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or other frameworks).
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours to collaborate with both local and remote sites, including occasional domestic and international travels.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Knowledge or experience in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other large-scale Agile frameworks.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, embedded firmware development, DevOps, and CI/CD standard processes.
- Experience with AI/ML, IoT or edge computing in process control applications.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity and compliance in industrial software.
- Experience with industrial automation products or technologies.
