Role Overview

The Division Head Ortho will be responsible for driving the Sales & Marketing strategy for the Orthopedics division, ensuring achievement of business objectives, market expansion, and profitability. This role will directly lead a team comprising 4 National Sales Managers (NSMs) and the Head of Marketing, with full P&L accountability for the division.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

- Develop and execute the national sales strategy to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability targets.

- Lead and mentor 4 NSMs to drive consistent sales performance across regions.

- Strengthen and expand the distribution channel network across India.

- Identify new growth opportunities in the orthopedic pharma market.

Marketing Leadership

- Provide strategic direction to the Head of Marketing for brand positioning, product launches, and promotional activities.

- Align sales and marketing initiatives to maximize market penetration.

- Ensure effective KOL (Key Opinion Leader) engagement and medical education programs.

Business & Channel Management

- Oversee distribution channels, ensuring robust coverage and timely product availability.

- Build strong relationships with distributors, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.

- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to adapt strategies proactively.

P&L & Strategic Planning

- Full P&L ownership for the Orthopedics division.

- Prepare annual business plans, budgets, and forecasts.

- Drive operational efficiency and optimize resource allocation.

People Development

- Coach, develop, and retain high-performing sales and marketing teams.

- Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and collaboration.

Candidate Profile

Education: Graduate in Life Sciences/Pharmacy; MBA preferred.

Experience:

- Minimum 1820 years in sales & marketing within the orthopedic pharmaceuticals sector.

- Proven experience in distribution channel management.

- Track record of leading large teams and delivering consistent business growth.

Age: Ideally mid-40s; maximum 4849 years.

Skills: Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, team leadership, and negotiation skills.

Other: Willingness to travel extensively across India.
