Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Acquisition (Brand Partnerships): Act as the primary business owner to proactively prospect, thoroughly evaluate, and successfully close new business opportunities for strategic partnerships through direct engagement with key brand partners in the retail and D2C sectors.
- Business Development Strategy & Scaling: Establish and scale robust business development mechanisms encompassing comprehensive lead generation strategies, meticulous deal pipeline management, compelling business case development and approvals, strategic partner outreach and engagement initiatives, and effective post-deal governance frameworks to ensure long-term success.
- Cross-Functional Influence & Networking: Effectively influence and actively network across multi-level, cross-functional organizations, both internally within Dista (Product, Marketing, Legal, Operations) and externally with partner brands, to drive tangible results and ensure seamless collaboration.
- Relationship Building (Executive & Working Level): Cultivate and maintain strong relationships at both the executive (CXOs, VPs) and working levels within target brands, fostering trust and mutual understanding to facilitate successful partnerships.
- Brand Acumen & Tailored Pitching: Quickly grasp the core essence and strategic priorities of target brands, demonstrating a keen understanding of their needs, challenges, and opportunities within the D2C ecosystem. Tailor compelling sales pitches and value propositions that resonate directly with the brand's objectives to drive high conversion rates.
- Data-Driven Approach: Exhibit a strong flair for data analytics and be adept at number crunching, utilizing data insights to inform prospecting strategies, track pipeline performance, measure conversion effectiveness, and demonstrate the value proposition of Dista's solutions to potential partners.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field with 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record of generating new leads and consistently exceeding conversion goals throughout the entire sales cycle, with a strong emphasis on meticulous pipeline tracking and efficient deal execution.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, partnership management, or proactively sourcing new business opportunities, ideally within the D2C, retail, or related industries.
- Exceptional ability to build and nurture strong relationships with senior management and executive stakeholders within target organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand the strategic objectives and operational nuances of brands and tailor compelling sales pitches that effectively drive conversion and partnership interest.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and utilize numbers to support business development strategies and track performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Existing network and strong relationships within the Indian D2C and retail ecosystem.
- Deep understanding of the technology landscape and solutions relevant to D2C brands (marketing automation, customer engagement, logistics, analytics).
- Experience in negotiating complex partnership agreements and commercial terms.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) for managing leads and pipelines.
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models and value propositions.
