Director Supply Chain - Control Operations
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced supply chain leader to head Central Operations. The role will focus on driving efficiency, service levels, and profitability across our nationwide food and grocery supply chain. You will own the Central Control Tower, ensuring real-time visibility, planning, and issue resolution across fulfillment centers, middle mile, and last mile operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Central Control Tower to monitor and optimize supply chain performance across multiple cities.
- Drive standardization of processes, KPIs, and service-level improvements across fulfillment, middle-mile, and last-mile operations.
- Manage and mentor a large and diverse team (1000+ people including on-roll & off-roll) across geographies.
- Own the P&L and productivity metrics for central operations, ensuring continuous efficiency improvements.
- Conceptualize and execute network design, delivery models, and process enhancements to support growth at scale.
- Partner with cross-functional teams - demand, sourcing, technology, product, and analytics - to achieve business goals.
- Build strong governance frameworks, escalation mechanisms, and decision-support systems through the Control Tower.
- Ensure exceptional customer experience by balancing speed, cost, and reliability of operations.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Operations, preferably in E-commerce / Food & Grocery / FMCG.
- Proven expertise in Control Tower / Central Command operations and managing large-scale, multi-city supply chains.
- Experience in leading large teams (1000+ workforce across multiple functions and geographies).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics from IIT/NIT or MBA from Tier 1 or Tier 2.
