Director - Insurance Sales (Cyber Insurance Mandatory)
Location: Hyderabad, India
About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Director of Insurance Sales to lead our strategic expansion in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, with a primary focus on the cyber insurance market.
- The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cyber claims and a proven track record of building and managing high-performing sales channels.
- This is a key leadership role responsible for driving significant revenue growth and establishing our market leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve annual revenue targets exceeding $3M in the first year.
- Aim to capture a 25% market share of the cyber claims sector in India within the first year.
- Formulate and implement the expansion strategy for the insurance channel business across other APAC markets.
Partnership and Channel Management:
- Establish and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key partners, including insurance brokers, carriers, reinsurers, surveyors, and data/privacy firms.
- Enhance partner relationships through thought leadership and educational initiatives.
- Utilize CRM and Project Management systems to effectively document and track sales activities.
Market Intelligence & Collaboration:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and mitigate threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Investor Relations (IR), Marketing, and Product Development, to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
Expertise & Mentorship:
- Act as an internal and external subject matter expert with profound technical expertise in cyber claims and advanced business acumen.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management, offering data-backed recommendations for improvement.
- Mentor and motivate the sales team, providing continuous training and knowledge-sharing to exceed sales goals.
Operational Excellence:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sales processes and enhance team productivity.
- Collaborate with marketing to create compelling proposals and presentations.
Candidate Profile:
Experience: 15+ years of experience in insurance sales, with a mandatory focus on cyber insurance.
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute complex sales strategies.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with key industry players.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor market trends and sales performance.
- Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.
- Deep technical and business knowledge of the cyber insurance market.
