Job Title: Director - Finance & Accounts
Location: Mumbai , Maharashtra , India
Reports to: Group CFO / Board of Directors
Industry: Food Processing / Manufacturing / FMCG (Global Operations)
Role Purpose:
Provide strategic financial leadership for a diversified, multinational business, ensuring robust governance, accurate reporting, and sustainable growth. Oversee all aspects of finance, accounting, compliance, and risk management, aligning financial strategy with the organisation's long-term objectives. The role also demands proven experience in leading a company through a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO), from preparation to listing.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business expansion and profitability.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership for decision-making.
Financial Control & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to IFRS/GAAP and local statutory requirements across multiple geographies.
- Oversee internal controls, audit processes, and risk management frameworks.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Operational Finance Leadership:
- Manage global finance teams, ensuring timely and accurate consolidation of accounts.
- Optimise working capital, treasury operations, and cash flow management.
- Drive cost optimisation and efficiency initiatives across business units.
IPO Leadership:
- Lead the end-to-end IPO process, including financial due diligence, prospectus preparation, regulatory filings, and investor roadshows.
- Collaborate with investment bankers, legal advisors, and auditors to ensure a smooth listing process.
- Establish robust post-listing financial governance and investor relations frameworks.
Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and commercial teams to evaluate investment opportunities and capital projects.
- Support M&A activities, due diligence, and integration processes.
Technology & Process Improvement:
- Champion digital transformation in finance, including ERP upgrades and automation.
- Implement best practices in financial reporting and analytics.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Chartered Accountant / CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
- 18-25 years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably in FMCG, food processing, or manufacturing sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully leading an organisation through an IPO.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, taxation, treasury, and risk management.
- Experience in M&A, corporate restructuring, and ERP-led process transformation.
