Job Description Head, Equity Capital Markets (ECM)

Location: Mumbai

Reporting to: Managing Director, Investment Banking

Group is a diversified financial services group with strong expertise in Investment Banking, Broking, Wealth Management, and Capital Markets. As part of our growth strategy, we are expanding our Investment Banking & ECM practice to partner with high-growth companies and investors in raising capital through equity and equity-linked instruments.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to head our Equity Capital Markets (ECM) business. The individual will be responsible for driving the origination and execution of ECM transactions, developing strong relationships with issuers, investors, and regulatory bodies, and positioning Group as a trusted partner in capital raising.

Key Responsibilities:

- Originate new ECM mandates through strong connects with promoters, corporates, private equity funds, and family offices.

- Manage end-to-end execution including structuring, pricing, regulatory approvals, roadshows, and investor engagement.

- Build and strengthen relationships with institutional investors (FIIs, DIIs, Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies, Family Offices, etc.).

- Ensure compliance with SEBI, stock exchange, and other regulatory requirements for ECM transactions.

- Represent Group in client pitches, industry forums, and roadshows to enhance brand visibility.

- Collaborate with research, sales, and distribution teams to drive successful placements.

- Mentor and guide the ECM team, ensuring capability building and high-quality execution.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Strong track record of successful ECM transaction closures in Indian capital markets.

- Established relationships with corporates, promoters, and institutional investors.

- Deep understanding of SEBI regulations and capital market practices.

- Excellent financial acumen, execution skills, and leadership ability.

- Strong business development orientation with entrepreneurial mindset.
