Position Overview:

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving large-scale digital transformation and innovation in the aviation technology space. The position will lead the development of next-generation digital platforms and AI/ML-powered solutions that enhance core airport systems and services. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical and architectural expertise, a strong track record of innovation, and experience managing large-scale teams and multimillion-dollar technology initiatives.

This role will play a pivotal part in defining and executing the organization's vision to become a leading global provider of digital and IT services to the aviation sector. It involves close collaboration with key airport stakeholders, internal cross-functional teams, and external partners to drive digital excellence and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Envision and lead the digital transformation roadmap for airport IT operations and services.

- Architect and drive the development of a scalable, modular digital airport platform (Airport ITaaS) and associated applications.

- Lead product development using best-in-class systems engineering, software design, testing, and QA practices.

- Align digital initiatives with the organization's business plans and annual operating plans.

- Continuously assess emerging digital technologies such as AI, Gen AI, IoT, video analytics, and digital twin to drive innovation.

- Conceptualize and implement real-world airport use cases using modern digital technologies.

- Establish incubation labs for rapid prototyping and product/service innovation.

- Evaluate and integrate third-party digital business solutions into the platform.

- Build and mentor a team of architects, product owners, and solution experts across domains.

- Provide strategic direction and training support for architecture, development, and integration teams.

- Act as a key liaison with OEMs, solution partners, and clients to support solution delivery and business development.

- Drive revenue generation through new digital offerings and platform-led product innovation.

- Achieve cost efficiencies in IT operations via automation and smart digital enablement.

- Represent the organization as a thought leader in aviation IT and digital transformation forums.

- Champion the organization's innovation culture and drive digital strategy across internal and external stakeholder groups.

Candidate Profile & Experience:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in technology or a relevant field.

- 20+ years of experience in digital solution delivery, with at least 10 years in leadership roles across IT services, aviation, transportation, or related industries.

- Proven thought leader with a record of driving digital innovation.

- Experience in architecting, scaling, and managing large transactional, real-time technology platforms.

- Deep expertise in IT infrastructure, applications, network, cloud services, and software engineering.

- Prior involvement in complex systems integration and legacy modernization initiatives.

- Familiarity with predictive technologies, automation, digital twins, IoT, and video analytics is highly desirable.

- Strong financial acumen, capable of managing large budgets and revenue-generating initiatives.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead cross-functional global teams.
